Hardcover. Zustand: Good. A collection of posters originally published by Ault & Wiborg between 1895 and 1902, re-issued in book form. Complete (1 single sided plate and 3 double sided plates in facsimile loosely inserted), green cloth boards with white decoration and titles. In good overall condition, the boards a little worn & grubby and the front flyleaf excised and the rear flyleaf missing. A few of the plates have short closed edge tears. A rare collection. As well as Will Bradley and Lewis Rhead works by Robert Henri, Edward Liggett, Carolyn Huntington, Leonidas Westervelt and Frank B Swick are included. Printing ink manufacturer Ault & Wiborg was founded by Levi Ault and Frank Wiborg in Cincinnati in 1878. It went on to be the world's largest ink manufacturer. It commissioned posters from notable artists and designers of the day for marketing purposes. In 1928 Ault sold his interest in the company for $14 million (equivalent to some $250 million today).…
