Some erosion of the cloth and the cloth is puckered upper right front corner, thin card on front cover displays a modest crack, a good only but presentable copy with the front and back panels of the dust jacket laid in. This copy Inscribed by White: "To Will Marion Cook from his old friend and one time pupil Clarence Cameron White. P.O. Box 271 Charleston, W.Va." Additionally Inscribed by Cook at a later date: "From Will Marion to Isabel". At the time of publication African-American composer and violinist White was teaching at West Virginia State College. He would soon go on to head the music department at Hampton Institute. Cook was himself a Black composer and violinist and student of Dvorak's perhaps best known for his long running musical show *In Dahomey*. An excellent association connecting two noted black composers.…
