Golf instructional work which includes a chapter on Ladies golf, analyses of tee shots and putting, and Oxford golf since the war as well as a look at American golf. Joyce Wethered (later Lady Heathcote-Amory) is remembered as one of the great lady golfers, winning four British Lady Amateur Championships; her brother Roger competed as a professional. First edition. 8vo. 197pp. Original cloth-covered boards, rubbed to edges. Owner's name and address to fly-leaf. Good condition.

In near fine condition.   "The Game of Golf Lonsdale Library, Vol. IX is an outstanding symposium on the game" (Murdoch 843).

255p, plus ads. cloth. Scarce dust Jacket. 1st edition, 2nd impression. Maybe the greatest lady golfer, retiring early only to come back to a famous St. Andrews victory. As Darwin says, "she is wise to give of memories as well as methods" Very Good, in a fair but complete Jacket.

Rare period autographs cut, of Roger Wethered and Joyce, who dominated amatue golf in the 1920's and 30's, both winning their respective Amateur Championships and playing on many Walke and Curtis cup teams. We would consider offers for each autograph separately, but feel they make a great pair.
