Zustand: Sehr gut. Original hardcover with dust jacket, 208 pages, 130 colour photos, very good condition. Excellent catalogue of an exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum Oxford from 6 October to 30 December 1999 of a most remarkable collection of scultpures from Tibet. The collection by an unnamed private collector (a roman-catholic American with Irish roots, as he describes himself, domiciled probably at Hong Kong). The collection had some absolutely stunning pieces, i.a. a pivotal silver statue of Milarepa (sold in March 2023 for USD 2,1 m.) or a remarkable portrait of a quite grumpy looking teacher. Often quite small, many of the sculptures are of highest quality. Part of this collection has been sold since at least 2017 through auctions. So this book is the only complete documentation of it. Quite uncommon. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 1400.
