Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The pharynx is an incredible structure in the human body. The pharynx moves food or water from the mouth to the esophagus and moves air from the nasal and oral cavities to the larynx or voice box. There are some conditions that can cause the pharynx to not function properly, affecting digestion, respiration, phonation, or sleep. One of the most challenging conditions is pharyngeal cancer. This book provides a comprehensive overview of the pharynx and addresses advances in the treatment of pharyngeal disorders, including surgery and reconstruction techniques.

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Telehealth includes clinical and non-clinical services, such as monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as delivery of preventative care and health promotion. Telemedicine is a more common term that describes remote clinical services. The major impact of COVID-19 has caused telemedicine to become mainstream since the end of 2019. Clinicians are having to use tele-consultation, tele-monitoring, tele-pharmacy, tele-rehabilitation, tele-surgery and other remote methods and technologies to assess and treat patients. In patient-centric telehealth/telemedicine, personalized data generated by the various monitoring technologies are jointly managed by patients and medical staff, moving us ever closer to the ideal of precision medicine. With contributions from many respected authors, this book incorporates updated developments as well as future prospects for the ever-expanding field of telehealth/telemedicine. It can also serve as a reference for anyone involved in this field, whether they are clinicians, researchers or patients.

In this study, four new dextral camaenid from China are reported, based on shell morphology, reproductive system anatomy, and molecular phylogenetic analyses: Camaena funingensis Zhou, Wang & Lin, sp. nov., Camaena gaolongensis Zhou, Wang & Lin, sp. nov., Camaena maguanensis Zhou, Wang & Hu, sp. nov., and Camaena yulinensis Zhou, Wang & Hu, sp. nov. Detailed descriptions of the morphological characteristics including shells and genitalia, DNA sequences, and living environments of the four new species are provided, with further comparisons with congeners. New taxa: Camaena funingensis n. sp., Camaena gaolongensis n. sp., Camaena maguanensis n. sp., Camaena yulinensis n. sp. 22 pp., 9 figs, 5 tabs, gr. 8 [16.5 x 23.7 cm].

The camaenid land snail genus Camaena is widely distributed throughout Southeast Asia. Thirteen species are found in China alone. Among these, C. cicatricosa (Müller, 1774) is the most widely distributed species, including four subspecies, C. c. ducalis (Ancey, 1885), C. c. inflata (Möllendorff, 1885), C. c. obtecta (Fischer, 1898) and C. c. connectens (Dautzenberg & Fischer, 1906). The systematics of these taxa is revised herein based on comparative shell morphology and anatomy as well as analyses of DNA sequences of two mitochondrial genes (COI, 16S rRNA) and one nuclear marker, ITS2. We found that all subspecies form well-supported clades in a molecular phylogeny and are well-differentiated from each other by genetic distances that are consistent with amounts of interspecific differentiation. In addition, they clearly differ from each other in reproductive features. Based on these observations, we elevate all four subspecies to the rank of full species. Moreover, based on morphological and mitochdondrial differentiation, we describe a new species, Camaena poyuensis sp. n. from Guangxi, China. The new species conspicuously differs from its sibling species C. cicatricosa in having a larger and more depressed shell, a completely covered umbilicus, more or less purplish peristome, an obtuse angle at the junction of the basal and columellar lip, longer pedunculus of the bursa copulatrix, thicker epiphallus and penis, and short conic verge. Previous named species are also redescribed on their shell and anatomical characters, because the original descriptions are uninformative. New taxon: Camaena poyuensis n. sp. 24 pp., 5 figs, gr. 8.
