I have also had an interest in books about the outdoors and nature, and consequently have a large collection which I will be listing periodically. Here are two books by the same Author and Illustrator: Walter Collins O'Kane and Francis Lee Jaques. These small hard cover books were published separately but only a year or so apart and the one is clearly intended as a sequel so I am reluctant to separate them. Please find: - "The Cabin", dated 1955 published by Wake-Brook House of Sanbornville, New Hampshire, 247 pages, signed by the Author. - "Beyond the Cabin Door", dated 1957, published by Richard R. Smith of West Rindge, New Hampshire, 239 pages. Condition: Both of these books are in very good ++ condition. The dust jackets show some light edge wear but nothing extreme. Inside, the only mark I found in the Author's signature in "The Cabin"; the second book is clean and bright. The interior pages and illustrations by the Artist are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. All the hinges are intact and the bindings are tight and sound.
