Faux leather, dj, VG/VG. unpaginated [ 66pp ] colour & b/w illustrations throughout including a tri fold panorama, SIGNED ( with dedication ) to the half title by Olsen with two small aquatic animals incorporated into the signing, dustjacket a little worn along the edges, gift inscription to the…endpapers ( the book was signed by Olsen to 'Penny & Pat', the book was then gifted to them, Christmas 1973, by 'Rob & Carol' ). A Facsimile of the diary Olsen kept whilst designing one of his most successful murals, Salute to Five Bells, which is currently in the Sydney Opera House. The book also contains Slessor's poem 'Salute To Five Bells' which was Olsen inspiration for the mural. John Henry Olsen [ 1928 - 2023 ] the Australian artist who mainly painted pictures of the Australian landscape in an energetic style. 700 grams.
