First Edition. Dr. Walker accompanied Dr. Marshall to Naples to introduce vaccination, and later joined…the Egyptian expedition of Sir Ralph Abercromby. His narrative includes descriptions of Naples, Malta, Minorca, Gibraltar, Tangiers, and Egypt, and pp. 435-40 contain Edward Jenner's Origin of the Vaccine Inoculation, which had been originally published in 1801. This printing is not noted by LeFanu in his Bio-Bibliography of Edward Jenner, 1749-1823.
