The first half of the book explores, with a particular focus on etymology, the Scilly and Channel Isles, Corsica, and parts of Italy. This is followed by notes of butterflies and moths seen in continental locations. A long interlude then discusses 'Recollections of Continental Art' (many of which are unfavourable), before the travelogue resumes in Belgium, German and Switzerland. Despite the title and although we do indeed visit many lands, the voice, is chiefly that of the good reverend. Well written and exceptionally scarce, with only one copy in library collections. A little toning to stock and light spotting to edge of block, but internally all is in VG order. Offsetting from tape to endpapers but this minor. Brown cloth with gilt and black decoration and titling lightly worn and a little marked. A most interesting volume. 16mo. 199pp.
