Dated Dec. 18th 1835 at foot, in contemporary blind decorated dark green cloth middle loading, book forum slipcase, in two sections with internal fixed chemise. The map loads easily aided by the cloth backing on the first and last panels, ornate gilt decorated panel borders, gilt titles on crushed crimson morocco label, all edge marbled, a fine copy, an impressive geological map, rare, Linen Backed Folding Hand Colour Engraved Map, 128.5x 102cm, folded in 36 panels, to 25.5x 16cm, with pattern decorated green cloth front and back end panels, block titles on the top left; With hand-coloured engraved 'Geological & mineralogical section from the Lands End to the German Ocean' across foot of map and hand-coloured engraved; Explanation of the Colouring; Railways completed, proposed, and projects, canals; Metalliferous tracks of England and Wales.
