Ihr Interesse für mein Auftreten ist sehr schmeichelhaft [.]". - Walker verfasste diese Karte während der Zeit ihres Engagements an der Wiener Staatsoper und in dem Jahr, in dem sie die "Elvira" in Mozarts "Don Giovanni" bei den Salzburger Festspielen gab.

Den ganzen Tag geht das auf. Ja, und das Wichtigste - ich darf kein Wort reden, seit dem 24ten Aug. schweige ich, im Grunde genommen eine famose Sache, man sagt viel weniger dumme, unnütze Sachen [.]".
