About the book >.>.> Craigie Aitchison: a Private Collection is centred around the artistic journey of Craigie Aitchison, a painter renowned for his visionary intensity and dedication to achieving balance in his works. Aitchison?s approach to painting was deeply rooted in a desire for formal and abstract harmony, often articulated through his concept of getting it right. Despite his firm identification as a figurative painter, his focus extended beyond representation to the abstract qualities within his art. This exhibition not only showcases Aitchison?s remarkable oeuvre but also offers insight into the dedicated engagement of a passionate collector devoted to the exploration of art.…
