Halbleinenmappe, 4°, Querformat, 24 lose Blatt, 1 Textblatt, 23 Tafeln mit z.T. ganzseitigen und halbseitigen Abbildungen; -Deckel leicht gebräunt, Kanten berieben, Flügel der Mappe mit sehr leichten Beschädigungen, Tafeln nur leicht gebräunt, ohne Randeinrissen und sauber. Dittmer, 1866 bis 1909, in Hamburg geboren, lebte seit 1899 in Neuseeland und befasste sich auch künstlerisch mit dem Volk der Maori. Er kehrte 1905 nach Hamburg zurück und starb noch vor der Drucklegung dieser stimmungsvollen Mappe über den Hamburger Hafen. Im Unterschied zu der häufigeren Buchhandelsausgabe verlegt bei Janßen, ist diese Mappe eher selten und auch im KVK nicht nachweisbar. …
