From an incomplete atlas dated 1843 comes this interesting map of China which shows Macao but NOT Hong Kong, which had been ceded to Britain in 1842 . Tibet is seen as outside the boundaries of China. The map measures 9 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches. Minor stab holes at the top, border areas with some toning, otherwise quite nice. SCARCE.

Bien complet de la carte générale dépliante in-fine (mais déchirure à la pliure), ainsi que de la très belle "Carte générale des chemins de fer européens donnant toutes les stations, ainsi que les voies de communication par mer" par A. T. Chartier (93 x 78 cm, petites déchirures). Rousseurs dans la marge des premiers feuillets, manque le faux-titre, titre détaché et reliure très usée.
