Together with economic tips and a selection of menus for all occasion, with a glossary of cooking terms. Written by Georges de Mauduit de Kervern, Vicomte de Mauduit, a French pilot, engineer and author. His series of "original and valuable" cookery books began with The Vicomte in the Kitchen (1933), followed by The Vicomte in the Kitchenette (1934) and The Kitchen Companion (1939). With introductions from Frances Evelyn "Daisy" Greville, Countess of Warwick, a British socialite and philanthropist embedded in late-Victorian British high society, and a campaigning socialist. As well as Elizabeth Josephine Craig, a Scottish journalist, home economist and a notable author on cookery. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the cloth. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
