From the preface The State of Chhattisgarh is one of the botanically richest and interesting regions of the country. Although the floristic account of the erstwhile Madhya Pradesh State was brought out based on exploration of 28 (out of 45) districts only the region under Chhattisgarh was explored by the authors. Present attempt is first in this direction. In this work taxonomic account of 99 species under 10 genera have been given with key to the genera and species. The broad classification adopted for compilation of this treatise is largely based on the latest version of the Dictionary of Fungi authored by Kirk et al. (2008). In this documentary the Orders, Families, Genera and Species are arranged in alphabetic order under respective taxonomic category. For a particular taxon, the name of the class, order, family, respective authority and citation has been given as per authentic information available in the MycoBank and Index Fungorum.
