Rafaello Busoni was the son of the envelope-pushing pianist Ferruccio Busoni, making him well-suited to illustrate these famous operas. 12'' x 8.5''. Original color pictorial wrappers. Illustrated in black, white, and red. 404 pages. In original blue cardboard slipcase with color pictorial onlay. Slipcase with light edgewear, small closed crack near outer edge; a bit of lifting to spine. Wrappers with a bit of edgewear, mild sunning to spine. A hint of soil to first leaf. Tight. Near fine in very good plus slipcase.
