The binding has been bulked out with blanks. It is a neat piece of work by John Mackenzie who held the office of Bookbinder to George IV and William IV. A privately printed eulogy to Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany (1763-1827), second son of George III and Queen Charlotte and Commander-in-Chief of the British army. Inscribed on the blank leaf preceeding the text: "For the Right Honble the Earl of Eldon with the most respectful compliments of the author. 26 Cadogan Place. 30 March 1829".
