Ab 1777 war er Zeichenlehrer an der k. k. Normalschule in Graz. Auf sein Betreiben wurde 1785 in Graz - zunächst als private Institution - die "Steirisch Ständische Zeichenakademie" ins Leben gerufen. Die Karte brachte eine wesentliche Verbesserung in der kartographischen Darstellung, da sie die astronomischen Ortsbestimmungen und Triangulationen durch Joseph Liesganig (1719-1799) berücksichtigt.- Faltstellen geglättet.
