Ordained ministers in secular employment are a recent phenomenon in the Church of England, and have been the subject of reports and debates of the General Synod. Their ministry is under strong scrutiny. What does it mean to be an ordained minister in one's place of work? What do such people actually do? John Fuller and Patrick Vaughan, both Principals of theological courses, have provded a handbook which is not just essential reading for those directly involved with this form of ministry, but an important source book for anyone concerned about Christian witness in the workplace. As the first book-length study it contains material, historical and sociological, which has not been available previously; most important, it tells the story from the inside with lively accounts from the ministers themselves. This is a pioneering book which will help to put a rather neglected part of the Church's work clearly on the map. 238 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).…
