Faded pink cloth spine, with a small peeling tear at the top of the back hinge. Small tear on front end paper. No jacket. The first story is "The Prince and the Sparrowhawk" by Enid Blyton, and the front cover shows lots of boys and girls all in different national costumes with an airplane behind.

Illustrated with full pages phototype engravings in black and white plus a color frontis and color presentation plate. Pictorial blue cloth printed in gilt and black, marbled edges, 512 pages. Some expected cover wear, mainly rubbing to the extremities, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with the presentation page filled out but no other names or markings. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
