First initial "V" and printer's mark on final leaf printed in red. Valerini's "Le Belleze" (sic, The beauties of Verona) was originally published in 1586. - - - Adriano Valerini, active in the second half of the 16th century, was an Italian actor of Commedia dell'arte, born in Verona and active in Northern Italy. He published a tragic play (l'Afrodite), nearly one hundred madrigals, a funeral oration for the fellow comic and possible mistress Vincenza Armani, and the present work about Verona.
