With a collection of short essays by various people, including Horace Mann, in the rear. POOR condition. Rear wrapper DETACHED but present. Leaf 63/64 MISSING resulting in text missing from that section. Wrappers missing along the spine, exposing the signatures beneath. Moderate to heavy soiling to the covers, with dampstaining and other stains present. Moderate to heavy browning to the piece. A few small superficial insect holes along the extremities of the covers and first few pages. A half inch hole in the center front cover, with some loss of text. Minor tearing along the extremities. Scattered soiling and staining in the interior.

General moderate toning to the front wrapper, with some soiling and staining. 1 ½ inch tear at the lower center edge. Extremities worn, with the upper right corner missing. Owner's signature on the top of the cover. Minor scattered soiling and foxing in the interior.
