Written by Siebold Ulfers (1852-1930).Provenance: With ex libris of CIBvZ (?).[NL] Zeldzame eerste druk van dit boekje over Vrijmetselarij, de vrijmetselaars. Siebold Ulfers was een Nederlandse hervormde predikant en schrijver. In deze lezing sprak hij kritisch over de invloed van de vrijmetselarij op het onderwijs. Ulfers schreef diverse werken, waaronder de populaire dorpsnovelle "Oostloorn" (1903), die het leven in een Overijsselse plattelandsgemeente beschrijft. Daarnaast publiceerde hij werken over sociale vraagstukken en religieuze onderwerpen, zoals "Het socialisme" (1897) en "Van eeuwige dingen" (1895).
