Bottom edge of the boards show shelf wear and the head of the spine is bumped. Illustrated stamping remains eye-catching. Brownish red illustrated DJ of a figure wearing a detailed crown with birds all around, and white lettering on the front cover and on the spine (though it is very faded). DJ is chipped at the corners and missing pieces along the spine, but is placed in a protective plastic sleeve. Original price of $1.00 present on front flap of DJ. Previous owner's personal bookplate is affixed to front attached endpaper. Pencil drawing and inscription from the author, Hugh Troy, whose signature is below the signature. No date on title page. Copyright page is dated 1943. Unpaginated. Interiors are clean and free from marks or tears. Overall, a good copy with a poor DJ. Signed by Author(s).
