Spine worn and rubbed, particularly to head and tail. Paper sides, heavily worn and rubbed, especially to board edges. Corners very worn. Cup stain to upper board, as well as numerous small water stains, scratches and dents, somewhat affecting title. Rear board has numerous small dents and scratches as well as some scribbling in pencil. Front inner hinge slightly visible but holding. Rear inner hinge has been repaired with paper to endpaper, but is still visible between pages 9 and 10. Rear endpapers rubbed, with a small chip near tail of rear free endpaper. Gift inscription in pen to page opposite title page, which is partially detached. Pages browned and foxed. Priced low due to condition, still a lovely copy.…
