Star-Dust, a varied anthology written by Trevor Blakemore, containing the author's inscription and a stanza of handwritten poetry. Published by St. Catherine Press in 1920, two years after the end of the First World War.In the publisher's original paper boards, with the author's inscription to the front free end paper.Originally, Blakemore published a biography on the painter Herbert Schmalz, before turning his attention to writing poetry. Star-Dust, an early work containing a range of intriguing war poems, and poems inspired by the Channel Island Sark on which he lived, helped him become an established writer. He later became a member of the famous Right Book Club that included Anthony Ludovici and William Foyle. In the publisher's original paper boards. Externally, mostly smart, with fading to boards and slight spotting to the extremities. Signs of shelf wear, with bumping to the extremities and head and tail of the spine, heavier to the tail. Small splits to front joint resulting in slight loosening of spine. Offsetting to end papers. Internally, generally firmly bound, with leaves pp.3-6 loose.
