One booklet in stapled wrappers, one large folding brochure and an envelope from the Indian Museum including six postcards with black and white photographic illustrations, of which one inscribed by a prior owner. "India": Colour and black and white photographic illustrations, 36pp. 21.8 x 20.3cm. Lacking map in envelope at rear, a small closed tear near tail of first leaf. "India Tourist Map" brochure: Colour and black and white maps, 22.2 x 10.2cm. Several closed tears, mended with acid free tape. Overall a little rubbed and browned, still a good set.

Envelope from International Hotel Kyoto, Suntory coaster and a business card from Shinachu, a restaurant in Nagoya. Overall in very good condition. This collection offers an insight into the experience of tourists in Japan before the country became a major travel destination.

Profusely illustrated "Festivals and Fairs" brochure, a large folding brochure and introductory guide to India in stapled wrappers with a loosely inserted folding map published by the Department of Tourism for the "1967 International Tourist Year". A copy of The Overseas Hindustan Times, April 25 1970. This collection offers insights into India's tourism industry and its government's efforts to promote inbound tourism in the late 1960s to early 1970s.

Collection of eight items of Chinese travel ephemera. A fascinating set of travel ephemera from a visit to China in the 1970s. Five profusely illustrated brochures of Beijing, Taiyuan, Dujiangyan, Zhaoling and Huaching Hot Spring, measuring 23 x 13cm to 26 x 12cm each. Pamphlet apparently from a recording of the ??? [The East is Red]. 23 x 9.5cm. Two booklets: "China Travel Gazette" by China International Travel Service: Map, colour photographic illustrations, 38pp, 9.5 x 18.5cm. A very good paperback copy. "China Travel Guide" by China International Travel Service and Cartographic Publishing House: Profuse colour folding maps and photographic illustrations, unpaginated. 25.3 x 12cm. Leaves detached, closed tear along the backstrip near tail. China Travel Guide, is completely disbound and therefore a reading copy only, whereas the other items are all in good condition.

[Reprint]. Japanese language travel brochure for Korea, single folded sheet with colour map of Korea (Scale 1:2,500,000) on one side, attractive colour cover and descriptive text with black and white photographic illustrations in 12 panels on the reverse. Map includes a small inset map of East Asia. Measures 53.8 x 38.4cm, folded 9.6 x 19.5cm. This travel brochure was published in Korea by the Office of Governor-General of Korea in 1927 with the aim of attracting Japanese visitors to Korea. The text describes Korea's geography, weather, and transportation; major cities, such as Busan and Seoul; and industry including agriculture, commerce, and manufacturing. Accompanying photos are those of Seoul, Kunsan Port, a ginseng field, Moran Fortress in Pyongyang, and Mt. Kumgang.
