Publisher's description of contents: "Someone is killing evil people around the world. Tyrannical despots and dictators, crooked politicians and businessmen, serial killers and child molesters are dying in a cruel and bizarre manner. Law enforcement officials are stymied by the mysterious events. Lieutenant Sam Lovett, a Milwaukee police officer, has witnessed the gruesome aftermath in the death of Robert Madeiro, a ruthless land developer. One night, Sam is contacted by Sarah Crowfeather, a Navajo anthropologist who claims she has been having terrifying dreams of people hanging upside-down, their throats slashed, blood draining into a primitive urn. She recognizes a symbol dating back to the year 1300 A.D. and a tribe of southwest natives, the Anasasi. Incredibly, her dream resembles the death scene of Robert Madeiro and their quest leads them to the fabled Chaco Canyon in New Mexico uncovering a long-dead secret that threatens them with a fate too terrible to be imagined".
