Towne, who was the editor of the weekly satirical Judge Magazine. This series was published by permission of Judge Company. 'The Teddy Bears Come to Life' was the first in the series, with one story of the titular group of teddy bears coming to life and another story of the bears raiding the pantry. 'The Teddy Bears in Hot Water' is also split into two stories, with the first presenting the bears in hot water, and a second in which they play a trick.
