Vintage handbill for several age-restricted hip hop and rap performances held at Chicago's Riviera Theatre on Sunday nights in February of 1989, hosted by promoter Tony Bitoy. The Riviera was originally built in 1917 as a movie theatre for the Balaban and Katz chain, constructed by Carbondale-born architects Rapp and Rapp. The building was purchased by Jam Productions and transformed into a nightclub in 1986, and continues to operate as a music venue today. 5.5 x 8.5 inches, folded once horizontally.
