Draft script for an unproduced episode of the 1982-83 NBC television series. Script with manuscript ink annotations calling out an action sequence on one page. Created by Tom Mankiewicz, the series starred Robert Urich as former CIA agent Robert Gavilan who now works for the Oceanographic Institute, and occasionally finds himself in need of his espionage skills to help friends and allies. The series premiered on October 26, 1982 and aired for one season of ten episodes, ending on March 18, 1983. In the unproduced episode found here, a group of Mexican children alert Gavilan to a body in a canal with what appears to be stab wounds from an ice pick. Gray titled wrappers. Title page present with credits for screenwriter Bob Stabler. 47 leaves, with last page of text numbered 46. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue undated revision pages throughout. Draft script for the 1976 German-Italian-British film. A train traveling in Europe has been exposed to a deadly disease, and the passengers are forbidden to leave the train. Terrorism and disaster follow, with a star-studded cast, including Richard Harris, Martin Sheen, and producer Carlo Ponti's wife, Sophia Loren. Green titled wrappers. Title page present, dated 1976, with credits for director Cosmatos and screenwriter Mankiewicz. 121 leaves, with last page of text numbered 121. Xerographically reproduced. Vintage borderless reference photograph from the 1968 film, showing Jacqueline Bisset unhappily wearing only a bikini bottom in the ocean. Provenance stamp and layout annotations in manuscript ink and pencil on the verso. Based on the 1967 novel by William Murray. A tennis hustler, a surfer, and a musician live happily together at a beach house in Malibu, only to find their lives changed by the unexpected arrival of an aging starlet. Bisset would later describe her nude scene in the ocean as "miserable." Shot on location in Malibu and Hollywood. 7 x 9.5 inches. Near Fine.
