Copper token, 29mm diameter, outer rim milled, edges plain. A nice clean example. A copper token, depicting a bust of Thomas Spence, facing left, lettered around the perimeter, 'T. Spence, 7 months imprisond [sic] for high treason'. Dated 1794 (the number '4' stamped in reverse), and lettered JAMES (the engraver). The names of three noted radicals are imprinted on the reverse: Thomas Spence, Sir Thomas More, and Thomas Paine. BM 1862,0917.8.
