Van Duzer further states: ".the plate opposite the title has no inscription in the facsimile, and on p. 120 the thirteenth line has four stars."); frontispiece, 122pp., (1)pp, publisher's ad for Thackeray's upcoming work titled "Dinner Reminiscences" Bound in original drab gray pictorial paper wraps showing Napoleon lying in state; with 4 stars on page 120 and 3 lines shading Napoleon's cheek on front wrapper. Tiny loss to spine tip and front wrapper corner, pages a bit age toned, frontispeice pasted to verso of front wrapper. Internally clean. A very nice copy.
