I am pleased to offer a second copy of a vintage book about the Grand Canyon. The book is titled: Grand Canyon Country, by M.R. Tillotson (then Superintendent of the Park) and Frank J. Taylor, a National Park Service staff member. There is a Foreword by Horace M. Albright, then Director of the National Park Service which is under the United States Department of the Interior. This small hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 inches, 108 pages) was published by the Stanford University Press, dated 1937 and the Second Printing of the Revised Edition of the 1935. There are 22 illustrations in the book. The book is bound in orange-colored boards with black titles and decorations on cover and spine. The endpapers are decorated with A Cartograph of the Grand Canyon Country on which is pictured whimsically and fancifully some things that Dudes expect to see and then again, some other things they don t, by Ruth Taylor White. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers, however, show only some slight edge slight edge wear including some light bumping to the corners and spine tips. Inside, the book is unmarked except for a light example of the former owner s name. The interior pages are bright and without toning or foxing and very presentable throughout. The hinges are fully intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
