John Tillotson [ 1630 1694 ] Arch…bishop of Canterbury, but who had started his theological career outside the Episcopal Church as a Presbyterian. This, his first published sermon was delivered at short notice at St Giles Cripplegate in September 1661 on behalf of Bates, vicar of St Dunstan-in-the-West. He was at this time still a Nonconformist. The Sermon is on Matthew VII, v12. 50 grams.
