Blue cloth with red sp. lettering, cloth oddly has darker strip across back, otherwise no significant faults, xvii + 209, 64 plates varying in number per page, ex-pagination throughout, dark tanning patch beside centre gutter to outer si…des of each -end-paper, few flecks to fore-edge and sl. top edge dustiness, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked. Unclipped jacket has patche of surface loss by back top sp. and a few small dark spots to back but otherwise bright and in surprisingly good condition for age (will add protective sleeve when ordered). Jacket front lists ' Industry Air Cinema Crime Medicine Television Engineering Journalism' as topics covered and there is a chapter on ' Photography by Wire and Wireless'. On p. 167 the author claims have 'recently invented a method by which any television apparatus can be made to transmit its pictures in the natural colours by a very simple adaptation' ! This a fascinating prophetic overview of the potentials of photography as they seemed in early 1930s. Very scarce if not rare. 14 cm x 21 cm.
