Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - This book was started after retirement to fill my spare time, with not thoughts of publishing. However, as the number of poems grew, and I started writing about my family, the thought occurred that they and others mentioned might like a copy. Also, I have included information about my family in which, sooner or later, the next three or four generations may be interested. For these reasons, I have decided to have the poems printed. They were a joy to write, and I hope they will bring similar joy to all who read them.ContentsForeword / 9Poems for the Common ManAt the Doctor's Office / 13The Dentist / 14My New Car / 15My Computer / 17That Certain Room / 19It's Tax Time Again / 20Painters / 22A Small Town Called Opp / 24Where I Live / 25My Exercise Experience / 27Paper or Plastic / 28The Only Child / 29Bring Back the Front Porch / 31I'm Getting Older / 33POEMS FOR FRIENDSChristmas Light Tour, December 19, 2000 / 37Christmas Eve at Bobo's / 38Christmas at the Halbrooks' / 39Part of the Family / 40Friends / 41Greathouse Family Reunion, April 22, 2001 / 43Home and Friends / 46Irene and Bill / 48Good Neighbors / 50Ralph Douglas Halbrooks' Birthday / 52Johnnie Ruth Parker's Birthday, April 29, 2001 / 54The Wesley Wanderers in Cajun Country / 55Petals from the Past with the Wesley Wanderers, April 17, 2001 / 62Mother's Day at the Lake / 64Opp High School Class Reunion of '55 / 66Poems of FaithFaith / 71Love / 73Feelings of Love / 74Should, Would, Could / 75Sunday and Church / 76Ridgecrest Service / 78The Soul Has Been Released / 79Poems of FamilyThe Thompson Family Tree / 83Family / 85Elizabeth and Joe / 87Jimmy and Kathy / 88Larry and Kim / 89J.
