Small quarto (26cm); maroon and blue cloth-covered boards, with titling stamped in gilt on spine and front cover, and illustration pasted to front cover; [4],5-87,[1]pp; black-and-white hafltones and colorful illustrations throughout. This copy is from the library of noted poet, translator, and anthropologist Nathaniel Tarn (1928-2024), with his inked ownership and date to half-title page. A Near Fine copy. First commissioned and published by James Thompson (1968), and following his disappearance, later printings were commissioned by his family. [88363].
