A well-preserved copy. $500. * First American edition, a reprint of the first London edition, published the same year. Marvin praises its completeness: "It professes to be a complete Treatise upon Discovery; it comprises almost all the authorities upon the subject, with accurate investigations into many practical points. It is a work to which the practitioner may refer with every prospect of finding a perfect explanation of any difficulties which he may have encountered. Indeed, it has still higher merits.
