Some plates are by H.K. Halbot Browne [Phiz], though in a restrained style for him.Others are by J.H.Shepherd, J.Salmon , R.Garland and L.Woods. To do so, he took Fearnside and Harrel?s ?History of London,? published 1837, added more engravings from Trotter?s ?Select Illustrated Topography,? published 1839, and put them ?together with five fresh views intended to give the whole an appearance of contemporaneity.?
