With the Portrait Frontispiece. Lacking the final blank P8. "A reissue, with cancel title page, of the 1683 edition", (ESTC). Bound in an almost contemporary late 17th or early 18th Century binding, with comb-pattern marble boards typical of the late 17th C., in quarter calf with leather tipped corners. Six compartments with five raised bands and a red lettering piece in the second compartment from the top. The binding and label typical of the very early 18th Century, along with the distinctive folding of the pastedowns. Some wear to the boards and spine, but generally quite solid. Very Good Plus. Internally fine, but with the front and rear endpapers replaced when bound in 17th / 18th C. paper. With the contemporary bookplate of Charles Barnwell. The volume measures 17.7 x 11.5 x 1.7 cm.
