The head & tail of the spine are lightly chipped & the cloth tape is detached at the top & bottom edges of the boards. The label is lightly soiled. Title, [1] leaf & 47 pages plus colophon. The top edges of the first 2 leaves are slightly darkened & their top corners are lightly creased. Very good. First edition, limited to 300 numbered copies.A nice association copy, inscribed by Eshleman on the title to American poet Carl Thayler [1933-2005] in the year of publication: "For Carl from Clayton / for the work to come. NYC 1967", with Thayler's ownership blind stamp on the title page.
