Large format softcover. Zustand: Very Good. The Library of Great Painters, Portfolio Edition. 10 hand-tipped color plates, with authoritative text and commentary. 24 pages. Some darkening to covers. Gauguin, 1848-1903, was a French painter with a highly original and distinctive style. Poor and in ill health, in 1891 he separated from his family and went to Tahiti, spending the rest of his life in the South Pacific.
