Title page dated 1893. No date on copyright page. 129 pages, with ads and catalogue of titles for further reading in rear. Binding is cracked in one or two spots, but otherwise is holding securely. This second edition includes new chapters on "Improving Farm Poultry" and "Trussing Fowls for the Market", as well as additional illustrations. Tegetmeier developed a reputation as a tough judge at poultry exhibitions (a reputation probably well-earned judging by the terse introduction to this volume!) and wrote of himself, "I am nothing if not critical".
