Nineth printing, 8vo, pp. 253, [3]; six pages of illustrations; full yellow cloth, black title on spine, fine in slightly wrinkled glassine dust jacket and fine pictorial slipcase. Qui Jun was a noble orator, women's rights activist, and revolutionary. The title of her biography refers to a line in her death poem, written shortly before her execution: "Autumn wind, autumn rain, they make one die of sorrow." The author, Taijun Takeda, was himself a leftist activist and novelist who was jailed for agitating for a strike. Few of his books have been translated into English.
