Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. P. Szedö Dénes OFM.: Ferences himnuszok /A lelkiélet ferences mesterei 5./ Translations by Mihály Babits, László Geréb, György Sárközi, Dénes Szedö. The paper cover and the initials are drawn by M. Konstantina Kákonyi, school sister. Budapest, 1944. (Printed by Kapisztrán-Nyomda, Vác.) 99 p. Publisher's illustrated paper cover. (17 cm.) Konstantina Kákonyi (1908 -1998) graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Kalocsa as a school nurse between 1931 and 1935. Sister Konstantina was sent to Rome on a scholarship in 1947. In the meantime the nationalisation of the church schools had taken place. The cruel reality of history made her life difficult. From Rome, she was sent not to her homeland but to the United States, to the teaching faculty of the Benedictine Sisters' school in Minnesota. Sister Konstantina taught and worked there from 1950 to 1994. Over the years, she had several exhibitions and attracted more and more attention. Thus, when the state of Minnesota was preparing for President Kennedy's visit in 1963, she was the artist who made the five-part relief that was presented to the President. ( O,O ) /)__) , ,
