Spines gilt-tooled with raised bands and wear to the ends. Some free endpapers loose with boards, with that of vol. 1 bound but clipped to the top margin. Text blocks remain strong on the whole, with light foxing throughout, particularly subtle in vols. 3 and 5. Despite its faults, a well-preserved set overall.
