The event place over a period of eight months, not at Jamestown but at Sewell's Point on Hampton Roads.~~The Governor announced the closing of all state offices on Monday, May 13th, 1907 and that all public schools and institutions of the state "hold appropriate commemorative exercises". He further urges that all in the future will keep the 13th of May as Virginia Day.~~A lovely copy, with red white and blue silk tie. Still with glassine cover and the original mailing envelope. Fine binding.
