A very scarce copy of thisIn the original cloth binding.Undated, dated from a copy held at the British Library. An impressive collection of monograms and ciphers designed by A. A. Turbayne and other members of the Carlton Studio, where Turbayne worked closely with fellow North American emigres William Tracy Wallace and Norman Mills Price.Turbayne was a successful book designer and bookbinding artist whose earliest works very much fit with the popular art nouveau movement at the time. This volume has organised his many lettering designs in alphabetical order as to ensure easy access to any desired combination - Plate I has AA, Plate II continues with AB, AC, Plate III with AC, AD etc. with nine designs to each plate.
